Christmas Presents!

The girls both thoroughly enjoyed the entire Christmas season from picking out our huge tree, decorating the tree and the rest of the house, choosing what went on their lists, buying presents for others, baking and decorating cookies and of course opening their presents!  Brian and I really enjoyed Christmas through our lovely daughters' eyes!  I can't wait to continue all the traditions that we have already started and to add more through the years.

Ashlyn, ready to write her letter to Santa!

Santa are you in there?

Ashlyn's preschool performance

Ashlyn had her first concert in Dec.  She did such a great job.  Her teacher told us that she learned the songs and motions first in her class and that she was helping the other kiddos learn the songs.  This was great news to me since she missed over a week right before the performance with our trip to Mexico and the girls being in OR with their grandparents.

Glad she was able to spot us in our third row seat.  She was very concerned that she wouldn't be able to see us!

This is how Kelti chose to spend most of the performance....

Love this girl!  So proud of her!! :)

So not only is this a cute pic of Ashlyn but her classmate is putting on quite the show too! :-)

***disclaimer***
I tried to upload one of the many videos where Ashlyn was participating and doing a wonderful job of singing, none of them would upload except this one...At least it is entertaining :-) See how interesting Ashlyn's hands are in the video below!!

This was a special moment for our family...Ashlyn's first concert performance was fun for all!!

Mexico

This was a wonderful trip that we were able to go on thanks to my parents for the resort and my in-laws for taking our two precious girls and keeping them safe and happy while we were off enjoying some adult time!

Here we are sorta bright-eyed and ready to roll!

View while sunbathing/snorkeling :) I found some amazing sea glass as always at this beach.  Chilanno is the beach we have snorkeled at on each trip and it never disappoints with beautiful sea life or beach finds.  I also found three shark teeth on this trip which was pretty amazing to me, after I found the first one I was just amazed and was telling Brian about it while we were chilling on our towels and I look over and found not one but two right near our set-up! :)

Cabo Wabo!  The guy in the middle is seriously the BEST violinist I have ever heard!!!

 Love palm trees!

Bri on one of our many beach walks

view on my first morning beach run!!!

Baja Brewing Company!  OMG, the best food, pizza, wings (these had the most interesting and tasty sauce I have EVER had on wings,  I am not kidding when I tell you that I thought about drinking it :))

Two love birds with the famous arch in the background on a boat tour about to get dropped off on Lovers beach!

Me and Bri on the booze cruise!

A slightly better booze cruise shot...something about the dark and iphone flash do not mix well!  Oh well I kinda like the effect anyways! it's is almost like the old movies when they were shooting the leading lady!

about to enjoy a lovely beach run! one of my favorite vaca activities!

We loved this all-inclusive hotel...this is where we will stay if we ever return (we have been here three times already, so changing up the resort seems like a fine idea at this point)

Lovers beach!! Pacific side

Sea lions, resting on the rocks, love the blue water

Pacific Ocean looking back at the arch!

The gang on a fun little boat tour with beach drop off at Lovers beach and snorkel gear for the boys!

Okay I know what you are thinking...a food pic (just wait their is another one :))  I kid you not this the one of the best places you could EVER eat Mi Ensalada in San Jose Del Cabo....Freaking DELICIOUS.  We ate here at least three times and I would have happily ate breakfast here every day :) This is Cinnamon French Toast with strawberries and the best papaya I have ever had!!!

Okay this was equally delicious Mexican scramble with beans and potatoes!   They served it with fresh made tortillas!  Ok now I am having withdrawals...I miss this place. Even their coffee was to die for...

Me and Lindsey enjoying our boat tour!!!

Brian enjoying the boat tour too!  I sure do love him!  Thanks for a wonderful trip babe!  You spoil me!!!

Kelti is 2!!!!

Kelti loves her new toy!!!  Not sure what animal he is, but we call him Rowdy!

At two years old you can do so much.  You are such a joy and blessing to our lives.  Kelti you bring laughter and excitement to everyday.  You love with all your heart and you are just the sweetest girl.

You Can:
  • talk so well.  I am so impressed by the quality of your sentences and speech for a two year old.
  • sing.  This is such a cute thing to see and hear.
  • jump...sorta...you so want to be like your big sister, you try really hard even though you don't really make it off the ground.
  • run, really fast...most of the time you move faster than Ashlyn, sorry Ash it is true though!
  • count to ten, I think this is a pretty amazing accomplishment for a two year old and you started doing it before you were two!
  • dance like no other...you love to move and groove, anytime a song comes on you start to groove!!
  • crack jokes, I swear it is so funny to talk to you sometimes because you have a wonderful sense of humor.  You really do crack us up on a daily basis.  you also laugh at adult humor (most of the time before the grown-ups laugh)
At your check up:
  • you are 70% for height
  • you are 30% for weight....all that dancing, running and chasing after you sister makes you one skinny girl
  • as always the dr. was very impressed by you, how well you talk, your fine and gross motor skills and basically everything about you...he also commented on how beautiful you are.  I have to say that I agree 100% :)
Kelti you have a very defined personality and know what you like and what you don't and there isn't much room to try and change you mind.  I love this about you, but it also poses many challenges for us.

Kelti turned two on December 15, 2011.  We had a family celebration that day and a party big party, as Kelti would call it, on the 17th.  It was tons of fun seeing everyone and we are very thankful to everyone for coming and celebrating our special little girl!
